As the founder of The Successful Student, Nancy Overhiser is a creative and caring teacher who has always had a heart for the struggling student. She earned her BS in Elementary Education from BJU in South Carolina in 1983, her Level I Wilson reading certification in 2013, and her TESOL certification from ITTT in 2019. Over the years, Nancy has taught language arts to all ages and levels of students from kindergarten to adults. She has also taught elementary and middle school math, geography, and study skills in both classroom settings and in one-on-one tutoring. Mrs. Overhiser is currently welcoming students in need of reading remediation, general study skills, and ESL.
